To On The Road With Your Mini Motorhome
Jun 4th, 2010 by Dean

Traveling with mini motorhomes can be a lot of fun. Families with children, couples and single people can all enjoy travel without worrying about finding a hotel every night. They simply stay in the motorhome, wherever there’s space to park.

While large recreational vehicles can be too big sometimes, mini versions are similar to driving a large van. The majority of people find it relatively easy to handle this type of vehicle. There’s plenty of space for up to six people to sleep and while they may be compact, traveling homes can be quite comfortable.

Wherever can you park mini motorhomes? They’re compact sufficient to fit just about anywhere. Imagine parking just a couple of feet from the beach and having the water correct outside the door. Although motor houses contain complete kitchens, there’s still no substitute for roasting marshmallows over an open fire.

These all in one units can be bought or rented. Some people prefer to rent since they don’t really need a full time motor home to park in their driveway. It’s easier to rent one for a month or so while they take a fun road trip. For others, travel is a way of life and a mobile living space is something they are ready to invest in.

Small motor homes contain everything one might need while on the road, including a small space with a table and seating areas, as well as a kitchen. Since there is little space inside the travel home, many areas are convertible, turning into sleeping areas at night. There’s a space over the cab which also serves as a bed when needed, or it may be used for storage.

A few of the advantages of using a mini RV on a trip include the following: Parking is simple, unlike with a full size recreational vehicle. It’s also an easy matter to park alongside a back road. Cooking inside the motorhome allows for savings on food, as most restaurants are fairly expensive. Eating out can really add up. Children will also find it more pleasant to travel, seated at the table to watch a movie, eat or do puzzles.

Mini motorhomes are growing in popularity as an option for vacations. Everyone can use them and groups of friends frequently find this to be useful in place of a car or truck. Families and singles alike will enjoy using a traveling home. It provides a safe, comfortable method of living on the road and is very cost effective.

Planning Family Fun Camping Outings
Apr 22nd, 2010 by Dean

One of the greatest experiences for family bonding is a camping trip. By leaving all the electronics at home for a few days, you and your family are forced to spend time getting to know one another once again.

While a camping trip can be a lot of work it can also be a lot of fun. You can cook over a campfire or use a camp stove. The results may be quite different than the microwave stuff you cook at home. Maybe you will discover you really like the taste of food that is cooked over a real fire. Since there is not a dishwasher, you will have to wash some dishes by hand even if you choose to use disposable forks and plates.

There will be plenty of time for nature walks while camping. If you walk quietly, you will be able to see many different wild animals along the way. Even if the kids are too noisy and scare the animals away, take time to enjoy the beautiful plants and wild flowers you will see on those hikes.

In the evenings after dinner you can play family games by the lantern light or someone can pull out a guitar and your campsite can lead the campground in your favorite campfire songs.

If the above described camping trip sounds like fun for you, go ahead and reserve a campsite for your family fun today. You can stop reading right here.

If the above described camping trip sounds like less than ideal for you, here is some good news. Many campgrounds and resorts are now equipped with wifi. By paying a few dollars more per night you can have electrical hook ups. This will give you power to keep the laptop and hand held video games charged. Some sites even have cable hookups for your television viewing. Camping does not have to be boring any longer.

Here is one request however. Please keep the volume down, we do not want the first group of campers to have their ideal camping trip ruined.

Apr 4th, 2010 by Dean

If you have ever taken your family on vacation then you know how expensive that it can be. Now that money is tight because of the economy it can feel like you just cannot take your family. Staying home should not be an option, though. These times are very important to spend making memories that will last your family a lifetime. In order to do this you should consider RV camping, sometimes called caravan camping.

To caravan you just need a vehicle that can haul the caravan. Many places rent caravans that do not charge much money. It is a lot less money than renting a hotel room. Instead of setting up tents and wasting that time you could just rent a caravan.

You can go anywhere you want to just as long as there are camping locations available. You don’t need to rent an expensive motor home or stay at expensive hotels. This allows you to save money that you can spend doing sight seeing.

Caravaning also allows you to bring your own food. Food can be the most expensive part of the vacation. Pack up some healthy camping food that you family loves and you are ready for camping.

If you go online you will find many places that would be great for your family and not too expensive. Just go on the internet and do some research. Find a place close to home so you don’t have to spend a lot on gas money.

Camping grounds are normally not very expensive and just cost a few dollars per night. Plus, they normally have bathroom facilities and places to picnic. Your family can have a lot of fun on vacation and you can still save a lot of money. Go caravaning camping with your family.

On the state park’s land and campgrounds there will be no alcohol allowed. There are several local campsites that are not on state land that allow the possession and consumption of alcohol.

How To Pick Prime Camp Locations
Feb 1st, 2010 by Dean

Camping locations seem to be mushrooming across America over the last two years – particularly since fitness experts and New Age philosophers have been emphasizing that one should spend time with Nature. Our lives are so fast-paced spent in air-conditioned buildings that taking off on a holiday to sleep in another air-conditioned hotel room doesn’t do much for a rejuvenation of the spirit or body. Camping, therefore, makes an ideal holiday choice. You can find hundreds of camping locations depending on cost, activities etc.

But before you decide to camp out look into the safety and security aspects of it. There is no point in going off to a remote location from where accessing help may be difficult. Choose a campsite near your home if you’re camping out for the first time. Even if you are going out in a large group of with family, checking up on the safety features of camping locations should be the most important aspect of your holiday plans.

Price, of course, will be a crucial deciding factor for your holiday. Many campgrounds that do not have options for outdoor activities charge a smaller admission and camping fee.

Many camping locations are specially oriented for families and groups with children. So, there will be many hobby classes on astronomy, Nature etc. You can also look for sites near lakes and rivers if you want to go boating and swimming. Some camping locations are set up for those on a cycling or hiking tour wanting to make a brief stopover. So, you can plan your holiday the other way round also and use only a few days for camping out while spending the rest on cycling or hiking.

If you don’t intend to camp out often, you may want to check out camping locations that  also lend out camping equipment like tents, flashlights, campfire cooking accessories and  other stuff.

At some camping locations you can have the added advantage of choosing your own site but  at others you will be assigned one. Many camping locations have their own websites too  and you can run an Internet search to help you decide better.
